Chris Rover

Chris Rover has been a part of the Chermayeff & Geismar team for over 23 years and has been instrumental in the design of numerous environmental, exhibit, sculpture, industrial design and signage projects. He also has expertise in stereoscopic photography and 3D display technology.  

Most notably, Chris played a key role in the design of the National Aquarium murals in Baltimore, the Tennessee Aquarium and the New Bedford Aquarium.  His contribution to the design of the largest tile mural in the world at the Lisbon Aquarium helped bring first place recognition at the SEGD conference in 1998.  Chris’s concept for the use of prisms in the American Flag mural at Ellis Island won the Art Director’s Annual Award.  The sign project he designed for the Major League Baseball Headquarters evoked the spirit of baseball, having used oval shaped, laser burned, ash wood, office name plates in addition to numerous murals.  

Chris graduated from The Cooper Union in 1982 with a BFA in graphic design.
