Baseline Magazine
The winter 2008 issue of Baseline magazine contained the publication’s first ever experimental feature: Ivan Chermayeff’s typographic investigations of breaking up familiar messages with complete disregard for word spacing. The resulting grids, carefully letterspaced, create a disconcerting lag in understanding what was once familiar. As part of the feature, Baseline turned one of the messages into a wrap-around poster folded over the magazine’s cover.
